TandemFeatures

Our Goal

TandemFeatures's Gallery is meant to be like an Archive,
where people should easily find their own favorites,
without having to open Features they are not interested in.

We have Group Members and Visitors of different ages and cultural backgrounds.

We would like to offer to as many of them as possible the opportunity to find meaningful DA Features!

Submitting Area

To make it easy on everybody to submit Features, only 4 Folders are open to new additions:

  Newest ~ Neutral to Lighthearted Atmosphere
  Newest - Mature Content ~ self-explanatory
  Newest - Mixed Spheres, Dark ~ anything which highlights some violence or heavy moods, in one degree or another.
  I'd like to collaborate in a Tandem ~ A special place where people who would like to share their features with other featurists,
would submit their journals, as an open invitations for a Tandem Collaboration

It is also easier to find things which are new, since one does not need to go in every folder and check what's new.

We came to the conclusion that this is the most elegant procedure.

Storage Area:

The Storage Area is organized in various folders, which allow for a better spent time, and less unpleasant surprises by opening Features which are not really one's style. Having more folders allows the Features to stay longer on the first page of a Gallery, which in turn gives them more exposure. Unlike looking in an Artwork Gallery, browsing through a Feature Gallery can be quite tiring, because of the preview. So, people tend to not go too deep, on page 10, for example... We would like to compensate for that.
The Storage Area is strictly administrated by the Admin Team, which moves the Features from the Submitting Area.

Featured (only for Tandems) ~ Since Tandems are our speciality, we thought of highlighting them here.
If you would like to have an additional folder where we highlight different features, we can also do that, but we have to be aware that this will pick favourites between featurists, and this might be a coin with two sides... ->Subject Open for discussion

The Folder structure will be updated according to your wishes.

****Tips When Writing Features****

Try to add a brief description of what your Feature/Journal is about in the Description Box as you are submitting to #deviantART.
If you can add a photograph as a thumb number, or a very brief excerpt from the Feature, that too is helpful when people look at entries in their Deviations Folder.
You can also add tags to your Features. That is worth doing to help people when they search for subjects.

dA Wishes

We would love if one would be able to identify the type of artworks featured very easily - like, either being able to submit Features to dA in different categories(like the artworks), or being able to have some kind of logo.

We would love to be able to share Features across dA with a click! As easy as it is to share on an external website!
We did call them Tandem and up to now we did the work by hand.

However the following points will make the procedure to participate in a Tandem easier and more pleasant:

1) Set the links automatically

(a script is in works in order to make it easy for everybody, in case the one click procedure provided by dA would not be available)

2) Have the same set of Comments and Faves

(not sure if this one is easy to implement, or if it is fitting the way dA is organized).

We would be happy if the concept evolves in the best way for the dA members, as well as the dA administration.
